   Terbagi menjadi 2 macam,yaitu:
Puisi Lama : Syair,Pantun,Seloka,Gurindam,Mantra,Talibun,dll.
Puisi Baru  : 2 Distichon                     6 Sextet
                   3 Terzina                        7 Septima
                   4 Quartrain                     8 Stanza
                   5 Quint                          14 Soneta

2. PROSA
   Terbagi menjadi 2 macam,yaitu:
Prosa Lama : Dongeng,Mitos,Legenda,Fabel,Sage,Hikayat
Prosa Baru  : Cerpen,Novel,Cerita bersambung

3. DRAMA
   Terbagi menjadi 2 macam,yaitu:
Drama Lama : Dagelan
Drama Baru : Sinetron,Film layar lebar

UNSUR KARYA SASTRA
1. Intrinsik    : Tema,Latar,Alur (plot),Amanat,Karakter,Nada
2. Ekstrinsik : Judul,Penerbit/Pengarang

IMBUHAN (AFIKS)

• Proses pembentukan disebut Afiksasi

                                        2. Sufiks (Akhiran)               4. Konfiks (Gabungan)

IMBUHAN ASING MAN-WAN-WATI
  Ketiga imbuhan tersebut berasal dari bahasa Sansekerta yang mempunyai fungsi membentuk kata benda dan kata sifat. Mempunyai arti menyatakan orang yang memiliki sifat dan menyatakan orang yang... (tergantung kata)

1. IMBUHAN MAN
  Hanya dapat melekat pada kata dasar yang berakhir dengan vokal i dan disebut imbuhan non-produktif.
contoh: Annisa merupakan orang yang budiman
 
2.IMBUHAN WAN/WATI
  Imbuhan tersebut termasuk imbuhan produktif. Hanya dapat melekat pada kata dasar yang berakhir dengan vokal a.
contoh: Karyawati PT.Adikarya mengalami keracunan saat sedang beristirahat
            Pak Ramli merupakan salah satu orang yang dermawan di kampungnya
